Baby T is a remarkable 3-year-old boy who has recently been diagnosed with leukemia. His family’s world changed overnight when he was admitted to the hospital in Mérida, Mexico. He has already been hospitalized for more than a week, and doctors have said that he will need to stay there at least another month to begin his treatment that will last a long time — which, as we all know, comes with a very big expense.

This is just the beginning of a long and uncertain road ahead. The days have been filled with tests, new routines, and difficult moments, but also small victories that remind everyone just how strong Baby T truly is. Each step forward requires courage, faith, and endurance, and his family is holding tightly to all three.

Anyone who knows Baby T knows how special he is. He could read by the age of two, solve simple math problems, and speaks both English and Spanish fluently. His curiosity, joy, and bright spirit have always been a light to everyone around him. Now, he faces a challenge far greater than any child should, but we believe with God’s love, faith, and the support of others, he will overcome it.

His parents are very private people who would never ask for help themselves, but as their friends, we are doing our best to stand in the gap for them. Living as expats in Mexico, far from their immediate family and support system, has made this journey even harder. Baby T’s mother has had to stop working to be by his side, and the loss of income along with medical and living expenses has placed a heavy financial burden on their family.

Baby T es un niño extraordinario de 3 años que recientemente fue diagnosticado con leucemia. El mundo de su familia cambió de un día para otro cuando fue ingresado al hospital en Mérida, México. Ya lleva más de una semana hospitalizado, y los doctores han dicho que necesitará permanecer al menos un mes más en el hospital para comenzar su tratamiento que durará un largo tiempo — un proceso que, como todos sabemos, implica un gasto muy grande.

Este es solo el comienzo de un camino largo e incierto. Los días han estado llenos de pruebas, nuevas rutinas y momentos difíciles, pero también de pequeñas victorias que recuerdan a todos lo fuerte que es realmente Baby T. Cada paso hacia adelante requiere valentía, fe y mucha fortaleza, y su familia se aferra a las tres.

Quienes conocen a Baby T saben lo especial que es. A los dos años ya podía leer, resolver problemas de matemáticas sencillos y habla inglés y español con fluidez. Su curiosidad, alegría y espíritu brillante siempre han sido una luz para todos a su alrededor. Ahora enfrenta un desafío mucho mayor del que cualquier niño debería enfrentar, pero creemos que con el amor de Dios, la fe y el apoyo de los demás, él lo superará.

Sus padres son personas muy reservadas que jamás pedirían ayuda por sí mismos, pero como sus amigos, estamos haciendo todo lo posible para apoyarlos. Vivir como expatriados en México, lejos de su familia cercana y de su sistema de apoyo, ha hecho este camino aún más difícil. La mamá de Baby T tuvo que dejar de trabajar para estar a su lado, y la pérdida de ingresos, junto con los gastos médicos y de vida, ha puesto una carga financiera muy pesada sobre la familia.
