Together for Aslan: Eye Surgery Fundraiser

Hello Friends,

My name is Alex, and I’m raising funds for my sweet dog Aslan, affectionately known as “Moose” or "Sir Chonkulous", who is dealing with a serious medical situation. At just under 2 years old, Aslan has already endured so much. He has developed severe glaucoma and cataracts in both eyes. He is completely blind in his right eye and requires surgery for the eye to be removed. A diagnostic test will tell us if his left eye has any vision left; otherwise, he will need it removed as well. The pressure and swelling in both eyes are dangerously high, and without surgery, he will continue to live in pain.

Aslan needs some help to make it happen. Right now, he’s on 3 different medications three times a day just to manage the pain and swelling until surgery can be done. But medication alone won’t stop the pain and pressure build-up. The cost for the test on his left eye is $335.21, and the total surgery cost will be at least $3,250, and it’s needed as soon as possible.

Aslan found me after being rescued when he was just a week old from a heartbreaking situation with a backyard breeder in Oregon. I hoped his days of struggling were behind him. But now, we’re facing another challenge, and we can’t do it alone.

Aslan is more than a dog; he’s my best friend, my shadow, and 111 lbs. of pure love. Everyone who meets him falls in love with his fun, bouncy ears and his sweet, gentle spirit. Even though he’s adjusting to life without sight, he still carries around his favorite blue ball everywhere he goes. He’s resilient, loving, and has a soul that touches everyone he meets.
