Dear Friends, Family, and Our Compassionate Community,

There are moments when the kindness of others does more than change a life, it helps save one. We turned to our community with a simple but urgent plea: help us give Annamarie a chance.

And you answered.

Because of your generosity, prayers, and unwavering support, we have some incredible news to share: Annamarie received the lung transplant she desperately needed!

When we first shared Annamarie’s story, she was living in a shelter, fighting for her health, and facing the heartbreaking reality that her unstable housing could prevent her from receiving a lifesaving transplant. Annamarie was a 39-year-old mother of four living with the devastating effects of scleroderma, a lifelong autoimmune disease.

Today, we are coming back to you, not because the first miracle wasn’t enough, but because her journey is not over.

She is still extremely fragile, undergoing additional medical procedures related to the complications of scleroderma, and facing a long challenging recovery.

A lung transplant requires extensive aftercare, frequent medical appointments, careful monitoring, and a lifetime commitment to medications and follow-up treatment. During this critical period, having a safe, stable place to call home is essential.

That is why Legacy is asking our community to help give Annamarie one more year in her home.

One more year of stability.

One more year to heal.

One more year to focus on her medical recovery without the fear of losing her housing.

We do not want her to make it through the transplant only to lose the stability she needs to recover. We want to help create the foundation that allows her to receive the aftercare her doctors require, regain her strength, and work toward a healthier, more independent future.

We know what this community can accomplish because we have already witnessed it. Together, we helped Annamarie get into a new home. Together, we helped make her transplant possible. Now, we have the opportunity to help protect the progress she has made.

Every donation, regardless of size, will help support Annamarie’s housing stability during this critical stage of her recovery. If you cannot donate, sharing her story with your friends, family, and community can make an enormous difference.

From the bottom of our hearts, thank you.

To those who stood beside her the first time, thank you for helping make her transplant possible. It was your generosity that helped a mother who was facing unimaginable uncertainty find a home and receive the lung transplant she needed to live.

To those joining us now, thank you for becoming part of her story.

And to everyone who has shown Annamarie and her family compassion during this incredibly difficult journey, please know that your support means more than words can ever express.

You helped give Annamarie a second chance at life. Let’s come together once more to help her build a future.
