Hello! We are three students from Schaumburg, IL that are in the midst of launching a project in which we aim to raise awareness of Alzheimer’s disease while also raising funds that would go to the Alzheimers Association and to further support Alzheimer’s research. Every memory matters. But for over 55 million people around the world living with Alzheimer’s disease, those memories slowly fade—taking with them the stories, faces, and moments that define a lifetime. We are the team behind Memories in the Mix, a nonprofit founded with a mission close to our hearts: raising awareness about Alzheimer’s, supporting local caregivers and families, and contributing to the vital research that will one day lead to a cure. This journey is personal. We’ve seen the heartbreak of caregivers who give everything, often without recognition or rest. With this we want to help do more.

That’s why we’re launching this GoFundMe.

Your donation will help us:

• Host local and virtual events that spark empathy and conversation around memory loss and caregiving.

• Provide educational resources to schools and community centers to encourage understanding and reduce stigma.

• Support Alzheimer’s research by donating a portion of the funds directly to the Alzheimer’s Association, a leader in scientific breakthroughs and support services.

No amount is too small. Each dollar represents a step forward: toward more awareness, more support, and more hope. With the goal of reaching at least $2500 or more, we hope that we can raise enough money to donate and to help raise awareness about this disease. Thank you!
