Hi, my name is Maddie. I am many things, but today I am a woman who cares about her family and the wellbeing of children.

I share about my personal transformative healing journey on my social media, from living as transgender to finding acceptance for myself as the woman I was born to be. Another key part of my healing journey has been reconnecting with family. In 2020, my cousin Tay gave birth to her first child. This sparked a friendship, which in part inspired me to move to Las Vegas where she lived, just after she had her second child in 2022. Since the beginning of her motherhood journey, her and her children have been a huge part of my life.

Tay was adopted into my family by my aunt as an infant. Growing up, I was told that she was lesser than because of her adoption circumstances. As I got to know Tay as an adult, I learned she was told the same things about herself, which has impacted her otherwise healthy mentality. Tay is an intelligent, kind, strong woman and mother. She has needed support like any young mother, but instead has been criticized and ridiculed by her family for having children.

Tay’s two boys are now ages three and five and are brilliant young children who have been a joy to all of our lives.

At present, Tay’s oldest son is being unlawfully held from her by adopted mother and mother’s wife. She will be going to court and as such we are raising funds imminently for a lawyer. This is imperative considering the circumstances and the aggression with which the other family members are trying to take away her child.

As the next generation of adults, we do not want our children to go through the same trauma and abuse we went through. We do not want to repeat family cycles. We are asking for some help with our situation to save this child from this situation and reunite Tay’s family unit.

We are also in need of support for the family’s housing stability, primarily through the acquisition of a vehicle, which will support Tay’s case to get her child back.

At present (as of October 21, 2025) our most urgent need is for $3500 for a legal retainer. It is imperative for the safety of the child we do this as soon as possible.

Our second ask is $5000 for the purchase of a used car which will support the family’s stability,

Additional funds will go towards housing, life necessities, and additional legal fees.
