Together 4 Roxy ❤️ fundraising to support her and her family

Hi, we are Miranda, Gill, Mo, Leigh, Anita, Mandy, Karen, Fay, Esta & Di and together we will be doing a fundraising event on the 20th July, 12 hour karaoke sing-a-thon midday to midnight, a live stream to show our love and support for three special people in our lives.

Were a group of special friends who have always been there for one another through ups and downs.

Our dear friend Vanessa and her two daughters Roxanne and Scarlett are going through very difficult, challenging times as a family and we want them to know there not alone.

Over 12 months ago Roxy who also happens to be mine & Gill's god daughter was feeling unwell and her body broke out in unusual lumps, her Mum Vanessa quickly became concerned and took her to see her GP.

Roxy and her family received the news no family wants to hear. She was diagnosed with hodgkins Lymphoma cancer. Roxy received fantastic treatment from the NHS and went through chemotherapy straight away, followed by radiotherapy and then had to wait an agonising three month's for results. Sadly the results showed that the chemo did not get rid of all the cancer, this was another devastating blow to the family, who have always remained upbeat and positive.

The NHS continued to be great and have many more options available. Roxy has just started chemotherapy again in May, and on her 18th birthday in July she will be having a stem cell transplant, spending three weeks in hospital in a isolation room. Even though the NHS support network have been amazing no teenager should or wants to be in hospital especially on their special 18th birthday.

We want to raise funds for when she is better to celebrate like a 18 year old should do so.

Over the last 12 months her amazing supportive family, Dad Jason, Sister Louise and boyfriend Dan have raised over £5000 for cancer charities such as cancer research, young lives versus cancer and the local mustard tree cancer support centre

Now, its time to send back some of that love and support to Vanessa, Roxanne, Scarlett & Jason.

Us ladies are hoping to raise money to complete a garden SOS makeover ourselves, we want to transform their concrete courtyard in to a tranquil, relaxing retreat that they can all sit together and enjoy as a family, to have a nice cuppa in the morning and somewhere to cuddle up at night under the twinkling stars together.

If there is any funds available after, our hopes and wishes is to send Roxy, along with her family and boyfriend Dan somewhere nice for a long weekend to celebrate her 18th birthday in style, after her treatment and recovery. Maybe in a caravan or even Paris or Rome, but knowing Roxy she is very humble and doesn't want fuss and would be just as happy to stay in her hometown of Plymouth.

During this time Roxy has had to put her life on hold, this should be the time to start exploring, having adventures. Finishing school, learning to drive and having her first legal bottle of fizz.

We want to help Roxanne to start looking forward to living the best years of her life.

For those who know her, know that she is an extraordinary human being, so pure and beautiful inside and out. She is cheerful, loving and unbelievably strong, who always puts her families feelings first before hers, never complaining or asking for anything and because of all that, this is why we are doing this fundraising event.
