Hi! If you have met me or Tofu chances are you have heard about his blindness or seen it first hand. Tofu was rescued about 3 and a half years ago with no knowledge of his history. Slowly in the beginning of adopting him we started to notice small signs he couldn't see very well but overall he was fine so we didn't think much of it. In the past year and a half though the cloudiness in his eyes has gotten much worse. His temperament of being the most easy going dog that never barked and got along with any human or dog has also changed. He runs in to everything, is incredibly anxious, get easily spooked by any sound or person walking up on him, i can barely get him to enjoy walks without him pulling to the point of choking himself trying to get back in to the house. After a few appointments at a eye specialist we have learned tofu was born with cataracts that have slowly progressed to the point of barely being able to see more than just some shadows and shapes. Cataracts lead to glaucoma and i'm also fearful he is going injure himself running in to something and want to overall improve the quality of his life. Ive been beyond grateful to have to many of you mention you would love to help and support him to get this surgery that will bring back full eyesight because unfortunately its very expensive. The total price i am making the go fund me is only about half the cost of his surgery and all the appointments we have already had and will have to have in the future and medications.
