Toffee Spinal Surgery and recovery
Donation protected
Hi, I’m Rory, and I’m reaching out with an urgent plea for help for my sweet girl, Toffee. Toffee is a Dashalier—a Dachshund-Cavalier mix—with a heart as big as her floppy ears. If you’ve visited The Kings Arms in Dorking, you’ve likely met her. She’s the little lapdog who loves nothing more than to curl up on someone’s lap, soaking up all the love and attention she can get. But now, heartbreakingly, Toffee can’t even manage to jump up due to her back legs no longer working properly.
Toffee has always been the life and soul of our pub, bringing warmth and joy to everyone who comes through the door. But recently, she was diagnosed with a severe spinal condition that’s left her unable to do what she loves most—sit on people’s laps and snuggle close. Without urgent surgery, she may never regain the use of her legs, and the thought of her losing that spark is devastating.
The cost of the surgery, including the necessary X-rays and post-op care, is £7,000—a sum that’s simply out of my reach. That’s why I’m asking for your help. Toffee has given so much to all of us, and now she needs us to come together for her. Every donation, no matter how small, brings us closer to getting her back on her feet—and back into our laps.
If you can’t contribute financially, sharing Toffee’s story with others would mean so much to us. Your kindness and support could make all the difference in getting Toffee the treatment she desperately needs.
Thank you from the bottom of my heart for taking the time to read our story and for any help you can offer.
With endless gratitude,
Rory
