If you don't know Tofer, here is a little background:
Tofer is a loving husband and wonderful father. He's a 28 year old living in Roanoke, Virginia with me (his wife), and our two children: Cannon (5) and Sawyer (1). He has been in great health, until now.
About two months ago Tofer found a small lump on his testicle, but did not think much of it. In three weeks the lump tripled in size, and after some hesitation, and a push from me, he went to the local urgent care. He was told that his problem was probably and infection and was given antibiotics, but after two weeks the lump had only grown more.
Tofer decided to reach out to a different doctor who referred him to a urologist, an ultrasound and a CT scan.

After examining Tofer and looking at the ultrasound, the urologist knew it was a mass. Tofer was told that he needed to get his testicle removed within a week. The news came as quite a shock to both of us.
A week after his orchiectomy we received Tofer's pathology results and we were told that he has testicular cancer with multiple germ cells, 45% of them being an aggressive form of cancer.
Most recently Tofer has talked to his oncologist, taken blood to check his tumor markers, and we will be taking the drive to UVA in Charlottesville on Monday December 5th to talk to a doctor about a lymph node dissection (RPLND).
Hopefully next week we will know if Tofer has to go through chemotherapy or get his lymph nodes removed.
One of the most interesting things about this whole situation is that we just moved away from friends and family, which definitely makes it harder. That being said, Tofer is being so strong and positive through everything.

As much as we want to take this on by ourselves, it is getting very difficult. We are choosing to put our pride aside to ask for help from family, friends, and even kind strangers.
All money raised will go toward medical bills, and anything that it takes to make sure Tofer is healthy once again.
We extend our sincere gratitude to anyone that can help.
Thank you.
Love,
The Flowers Family
