 I introduce you to Thiago, a brave baby who entered the world on March 26, 2022, prematurely, at only 33 weeks gestation. From the beginning, his journey has been marked by adversity: he was diagnosed with Necrotizing Enterocolitis, a severe intestinal disease that affects many premature babies, with an alarming mortality rate of 80%. 

Thiago's life has been a roller coaster of surgeries and treatments, all due to medical negligence. With over 12 surgical interventions and the loss of 30 centimeters of intestine, this little one battles Short Bowel Syndrome with intestinal failure. Imagine the daily struggle of a baby who, to survive, depends on a pump for every meal. Since the day of his birth, Thiago has not known the warmth of a home or experienced the sweetness of a bed other than a hospital's. The battle he faces is heartbreaking, and the costs of his treatment have become overwhelming, combined with unavoidable expenses for medications and hospitalization.

Maria Teresa Montiel and Ruben David Pérez, Thiago's tireless parents, have dedicated their lives to doing everything possible for their little one to have a life full of quality. They organize raffles, participate in bazaars, and carry out various activities to raise funds and cover Thiago's vital treatment.

Con más de 12 intervenciones quirúrgicas a cuestas y la pérdida de 30 centímetros de intestino, este pequeñito lucha contra el Síndrome de Intestino Corto con fallo intestinal. Desde el día de su nacimiento, Thiago no ha conocido el calor de su propio hogar, ni ha experimentado la dulzura de una camita que no sea de hospital. La batalla que enfrenta es desgarradora, y los costos de su tratamiento se han vuelto abrumadores, sumados a los ineludibles gastos de medicamentos y hospitalización.

María Teresa Montiel y Ruben David Pérez, los incansables padres de Thiago, han dedicado sus vidas a hacer todo lo posible para que su pequeño tenga una vida llena de calidad.
