Hello, my name is Chary, María Belén's mother. My Belén is 20 years old, she is my eldest daughter. My little big woman has a beautiful heart. A dancer since she could move, she loves the art of dance with all her heart. For years she has shown her interest in dance and has been able to participate and dance in every event she could in Oklahoma. She studies law, is very active, and loves taking care of children. She makes friends easily and was baptized in the Christian Church because she decided that her best path was Jesus. My lifelong companion, through ups and downs, we have been living a beautiful life together. But life surprises us from one moment to the next. My little big artist is going through a very delicate health situation. A few months ago, during her regular menstrual period, we noticed that her period wouldn't stop. We had an initial consultation with a gynecologist, who diagnosed endometrial polyps. She was prescribed contraceptives and painkillers, but she was also a candidate for surgery to remove the polyps that were causing bleeding and pain, which my daughter could only tolerate with ibuprofen. The days kept passing and the pain was unbearable, so she had to go to the emergency room twice in a row to manage her pain and find out why she continued to bleed so much despite the treatment. On Thursday, January 15th, this nightmare began. She was admitted due to unbearable pain that she couldn't control. They performed a new scan where they discovered that her endometrium was severely thickened. But they didn't just discover that; they also found a blood clot that had lodged in her right lung. She was immediately hospitalized to treat both conditions.

Given the complexity of her case, she cannot undergo surgery for the endometriosis-related bleeding because exposing her to surgery with a blood clot in her lung would be very risky for her life. She is currently hospitalized at Memorial Hospital in Sarasota. She has received a blood transfusion because her hemoglobin levels are dropping more and more each day. She is being given iron intravenously, heparin to prevent the blood clot from growing, and progesterone to try to stop the bleeding. They are drawing blood every six hours to monitor her hemoglobin levels, and she has been given potassium because her levels dropped drastically. She has two IV lines in her arms, and her veins are inflamed.

Additionally, they have noticed that her right leg is swollen, so she will undergo a scan to see if there is a blood clot.

My little girl, my dancer, my first love, is not doing well, and neither am I.

The medical costs are incredibly high. I can't work these days because I have to be available for every update, which comes every four hours. I have my two younger daughters in school, and I try to divide my time so I can cook, take care of them, and make sure they have everything they need, so I can then focus on Belén.

I want to see my little girl dancing again, dreaming, and living her life happily.

These past few days, even though I've felt like giving up, God has shown me His goodness, placing an angel in our lives at every turn, showing us miracle after miracle. My Belén is His child, and I am certain that He will restore her health and her will to live, alongside me and her two little sisters who love her so much.

Hola, mi nombre es Chary, mamá de María Belén. Mi Belén tiene 20 años, es mi hija mayor . Mi pequeña gran mujercita tiene un corazón precioso. Bailarina desde que pudo moverse, ama con todo su corazón el arte de bailar. Por años a mostrado su interés por la danza y ha podido participar y bailar en cuanto evento a podido en Oklahoma. Estudia leyes, es muy activa y ama cuidar niños. Tiene mucha facilidad para hacer amigos y se bautizó en la Iglesia Cristiana, por qué decidió que su mejor camino era Jesús. Mi compañera por siempre, con altas y bajas venimos recorriendo una vida bonita. Pero la vida nos sorprende de un momento a otro. Mi pequeña gran artista , está pasando por un momento muy delicado de salud. Hace unos meses, dentro de su periodo regular de menstruación, observamos que su periodo ,no se tenia cuando acabar. Hicimos una primera consulta a un ginecólogo, quien diagnosticó pólipos en el endometrio. Le recetaron anticonceptivos y calmantes ,pero también era candidata a una cirugía para remover los pólipos que ocasionaban sangrado y dolores, que mi hijita toleraba solo con ibuprofeno. Los días seguían pasando y el dolor era insoportable, por lo que tuvo que ingresar dos veces seguidas por emergencia para contener su dolor y verificar por qué continuaba con tanto sangrado si tenía tratamiento. El jueves 15 de Enero, comienza este mal sueño. Ella ingresa por un dolor insoportable, que no podía controlar. Le hacen un nuevo scanner donde logran ver qué su endometrio tiene un engrosamiento muy alto. Pero no sólo descubren eso, también encuentran un coágulo que se ha alojado en el pulmón derecho. Inmediatamente fue hospitalizada para tratar ambas cosas.

Dada la complejidad de su caso, no puede ser operada de la hemorragia por la endometriosis, porque exponerla a una cirugía con un coágulo en el pulmón, sería de mucho riesgo para su vida. Actualmente se encuentra hospitalizada en el Memorial Hospital de Sarasota.

Ha sido transfundida por qué su hemoglobina cada día baja más y más, le administran hierro a la vena, heparina para mantener el coágulo sin mayor desarrollo y progesterona para intentar detener el sangrado. Le sacan sangre cada 6 horas para controlar la hemoglobina, le han administrado potasio por que sus niveles bajaron drásticamente. Tiene dos vías en sus brazos y sus venas están inflamadas.

Adicionalmente, tras realizarle un scan, han podido ver qué tiene una Trombosis en la pierna derecha. Esto tiene que ser tratado con inyecciónes de Heparina en el estómago. Le han recetado 56 inyecciones, dos por día. Todo esto para que evite otro coágulo.

Mi hijita, mi bailarina , mi primer amor, no la está pasando bien y con ella, yo.

Los costos médicos son altísimos. No puedo trabajar estos días por que debo estar pendiente de cada informe que se da cada 4 horas . Tengo a mis dos hijas pequenas en la escuela y trato de dividir mi tiempo para poder cocinar, atenderlas y dejarlas con lo necesario, para poder atender a Belen.

Mantén a mi niña preciosa en tus oraciones. Y si puedes darnos una ayuda, te lo agradeceremos. Si no es así, con tus oraciones , nos ayudas muchísimo.

Quiero ver a mi niña nuevamente bailar, soñar y seguir con su vida feliz.

Estos días, aunque he sentido desfallecer, Dios me ha mostrado su bondad con nosotras, poniendo un ángel en nuestras vidas, en cada momento , mostrándonos milagros tras milagros . Mi Belén es su niña, estoy segura que la devolverá la salud y las ganas de continuar ,junto a mi y a sus dos hermanitas que la quieren tanto.
