Hace 7 meses, nuestro hijo Matías Yunes Landázuri llevaba una vida activa como todo joven de 17 años, muchos amigos, grandes sueños y su pasión por el fútbol. Pero de un día para el otro todo cambio, cuando empezó con tos y fiebre. Después de un mes y medio de varios exámenes y de descartar varias enfermedades lograron diagnosticar Leucemia Linfoblástica Aguda (LLA). Gracias a los ángeles que Dios pone en la tierra y en nuestro camino, pudimos llegar al lugar adecuado donde Matías empezó su tratamiento, el cual ha tenido buenos resultados. A lo largo de todo este difícil y duro tratamiento, Matías ha sido un ejemplo para todos los que lo rodeamos y acompañamos, demostrando gran fortaleza y muchas ganas de vivir con actitud positiva y confiada frente a esta situación.
El camino no siempre es fácil, lamentablemente la medicación actual le causó reacción alérgica, por lo que ahora debemos conseguir otro medicamento (Asparaginasa Peg, 26 unidades) que no se vende en el Ecuador y que al ser escaso a nivel mundial tiene un costo sumamente alto.
Por eso hoy apelamos a tu solidaridad y gran corazón, piensa que Matías podría ser cualquiera de tus seres queridos. Ayúdanos con lo que puedas, todo suma y juntos llegaremos a la meta!

Seven months ago, our son Matías Yunes Landázuri was an active kid like any 17-year-old, surrounded by lots of friends, with big dreams to come and his great passion for playing soccer; however, from one day to the next, everything changed. He started with a cough and fever, and after a month and a half of running many medical tests and the ruling out of various serious sicknesses, he was diagnosed with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (ALL). It was devastating news for us but thanks to the Angels that God puts on our earth and in our paths, Matías landed in the right place and began his treatment, which have given good results so far. During these hard times and after many aggressive treatments, Matías has shown great strength and his desire to live has been an example for all of us who surround him. He has shown positivism and confidence while facing this very difficult situation.
The road is not always easy. His current treatment has triggered an allergic reaction, so he has to change to another medication (Asparaginase Peg, a dosage of 26 units). Unfortunately, this medication isn’t for sale in Ecuador and is scarce worldwide as well; and if that weren’t enough, has an extremely high cost!!!!
This is why today we appeal to your solidarity and very big heart. Matías could be a relative of yours! Please help us with what you can……. it will all add up in the end and together you can help us reach our goal!!!!
