Hi everyone! My name is Andrea, and this is my mom, Dr Gloria López

My mom is a pediatrician who has devoted her entire life to serving and helping others. She was a professor of Medicine in the University of Carabobo. She also co-founded the Rescue and First Aid Brigade or BRAM, which is a volunteer rescue team that still functions in our hometown of Valencia, Venezuela. She was the first woman in the country to be certified in helicopter rescue, and she's a volunteer with the NGO Rescate Venezuela (Rescue Venezuela).

Mom is also an incorregible adventurer, an amazing grandma, and the best mother anyone could wish for. She always has a smile, a joke, and a tray of cookies waiting for you. On March 13th, 2019, she fell at home and suffered from a complex femur fracture.

In order to recover, she needs to have a surgical intervention where the fracture will be realigned, the bone will be taken back to its original position, and a PFN nail will be inserted. The costs associated with this intervention are extremely high; additionally, we've already had to cover costs for an ambulance, supplies, and hospitalization expenses.

Mom has spent her entire life trying her best to help others, but now it's our turn to ask for help. To achieve our goal, her niece Alejandra Simonetti - a Florida resident - has set up this fundraiser.

Any amount, regardless of how small it might seem, will represent a huge donation full of love and positive energies to help her heal.

Her husband, her children, her granddaughter, her nieces and nephews, her sisters, her son- and daughter-in-law, and all other loved ones will be eternally grateful for your help.
