This pandemic could not have come at a worse time. As some of you know, I work doing landscaping & small construction jobs with younger family members. Back in January, I injured my hip in a total fluke injury. That laid me up unable to work for over a month. It will probably require surgery at some point (which my health insurance company does not deem medically necessary) which I won’t be getting anytime soon - I’m just dealing with pain. That meant no money coming in right after the slowest part of the year. A couple of unexpected expenditures (car repair, vet bill) right in the middle of that time didn’t help. I survived by using up what little savings I had left & borrowing money from friends- many of whom are now in a dire financial position themselves. I need to pay them back. I also need to catch up my bills which I’ve been paying the bare minimum amount on to keep utilities on & insurance paid. I’m limited in what work I can do as I am immune compromised & a lot of my clientele are elderly & I don’t want to risk exposing them to anything I may have come in contact with. It’s pretty much all outside jobs which have also dried up as with so many people out of work, any unnecessary expenditure is out. I was booked into May but all but 3 small jobs have postponed or cancelled. I hate having to ask for help, but see no other option at this point. I have always been generous & given whenever I could. Please consider helping me out- I would greatly appreciate it. Also please contribute to my friends who are small business owners, restaurant & bar workers, hairdressers, massage therapists, theater employees, touring musicians, entertainers, stagehands, etc. who are without income during this difficult time if you possibly can.
