Hello to you all! Whether you know Todd well, or are just an aquaintance, I think you would agree that Todd is one of the most personable people you could ever meet. That being said, he is also one to not ask for help in this way. I wanted to step in and ask all of his friends on his behalf to help Todd through this very difficult and very stressful time.

On September 2, 2025, Todd's mother, Linda Lawford, was found peacefully and forever asleep. There were many waiting for her, including Don, her husband of 43 years and Todd's father, who passed away in 2016. Todd's younger brother Jason (Bubba!) who we sadly lost in 2013, and also Bubba's wife Rhonda who sadly passed in 2021. We all miss them so much, but no one more than Todd.

In the years since his dad's passing, Todd, being his mom's last remaining child, lovingly and loyally took care of his mother. Linda had some medical and mobility issues of her own, could not drive, and lived an hour away. Todd would make the drive after work and on weekends, a few times every week, to grocery shop for her, help with anything she needed around the house, and keep her company. In most recent years, he had been trying to move his mother into his home so that she was close, but Linda being the independent and head strong woman she was, just refused. Despite, Todd did everything he could to make sure her needs were met.

Todd's mom was a person of limited means. She did not have life insurance, nor did she have any savings to cover emergencies for herself or her home, let alone to cover any final costs. She did not prepare legally for Todd to be able to take over and settle her affairs in an easy manner either. In past years, Todd has had to replace things in her home, and cover costs of repairs himself. Now he is saddled with paying for her final expenses, and settling her affairs as well, putting him in a real bind himself, financially.

Linda did not want any funeral services, but even the cheapest options are very expensive, to the tune of almost $4000. Todd is also suddenly responsible for lot rent on his mother's meager home, $700/month, as well as covering all utilities, and costs for legal assistance and fees for settling her affairs. It is overwhelming. Todd had a bought of unemployment during this past summer, which, even now in his new job, he is still recovering financially from.

I ask you all to please help Todd, in any amount you are able to. Funds will go toward his mom's final expenses, and to help pay for all of these unexpected costs so that Todd can grieve his mom's passing, help his 2 sons grieve as well, with a little less worry about the financial burden to bear.
