Hey, my name is Misty. My family and I have taken it upon ourselves to make a GoFundMe for my brother and sister-in-law, Michael and Jan Rakes, as well as for Michael’s father, “Pops” Todd Rakes. Todd was taken to the hospital not expecting the news they would receive. Todd has cancer. He has a tumor wrapped around his spine. Surgery was done yesterday to remove what they could of the tumor, not knowing if he will ever get full mobility back in his legs, as well as other medical issues that are still being considered that don’t help Todd in any way. Todd is only 62 years old. Todd lives with his son Michael and wife Jan. Michael and Jan have and will miss work to care and help care for Todd in the days to come as Todd will have many appointments and therapy.

With this being said, we are asking to help make this a little bit easier for them so they can focus on Todd as well as their own emotional health as this is and will be very difficult.
