Todd Johnson - Bad Accident

On Saturday, June 13th, my close friend Todd Johnson, was in a bad accident in Miami while in the water. He was pulled in by the propellers of a boat and had to fight to save his life. He was airlifted to a trauma center for immediate surgery.  His legs and body were badly injured. He endured his second surgery last night and will continue to need surgeries over the next month according to his doctor. He lost most of the tissue and skin on his legs but we are all optimistic. He will be in the hospital for the next month and I hear the doctors have been fantastic.  This is a life changing occurrence and we should all be there for Todd and support him through the recovery process.   He will need it!!

Now, if you don't know Todd, he is an amazing husband, great friend and an even better father to his two children. There isn't a second when he is not outside with the kids keeping them busy and teaching them something. On top of that, he also donates his time every weekend to kids looking to practice soccer. He invites every single kid who is interested and hosts a practice at the weehawken field for free just so the kids have a little direction on how to play. I kid you not, every time I am with him and we run across someone with a kid, he invites them to join. The parents are always so thankful to him for this, as am I as a friend that also has a son that sometimes attends. He lives for seeing his son and the kids enjoy themselves and get better every week.

Well, Todd is now going to be in Miami for the next month for surgeries and recovery. They can not transfer him up here because it will be too risky with his injuries. With that said, I am asking that everyone contribute something so that we can help buy flights for his wife and kids to go see him for Father's Day this Sunday and go back and forth throughout his time there. I know there wouldn't be anything that he would want more than to see his kids. Also, there have been a lot of travel expenses, room expenses, medical expenses, etc. that they have occurred and will occur even more throughout this process and it would be great if we could pay it forward to someone that really deserves it and could use our help for once.
