Todd's Fabulous Dementia Ensuite Makeover
Donation protected
My name is Terena and i am helping my best friend's Debbie and Todd Brindley make changes to there ensuite at home to accommodate Todd's changing needs due to illness.
Todd was diagnosed with bvFTD (behaviour variant frontotempil dementia) 5 years ago at the young age of 48 years.
Todd was working as a designer for an Expo company (20 years) and playing live show's with band "Hells Bells" around Perth W.A. at the time of his diagnosis.
This dementia effects speech, behavior and is extremely aggressive. Todd no longer speaks he makes sounds, is incontinent and has forgotten how to wash himself, brush his teeth and step over things such as the hob in the shower.
Debbie and her sister Lisa are full time carers living with Todd at home. Unfortunately there is no funding available for them in Todd's case to make any changes to the ensuite to accommodate his changing needs. So i have taken on the challenge to make this happen for them.
With help from My husband Byron McLevie (plumber) and mate Adam Boddy (tiling/banjo playing dude) we are asking for your assistance to raise some much needed dollars to cover costs for goods purchased - Byron and Adam have been working hard for the last week to get a start on things labour free of charge - thank you guy's :).
So lets do it and finish this for Todd.
