Hi Family and Friends, On November 7th 2022Todd Taylor, my loving partner of 17 years was diagnosed with Squamous Cell Carcinoma of the head and neck. This includes the tonsils and it’s lymphatic system. This is a type of viral cancer originating from the much talked about HPV virus that most of the younger generation needs to get vaccinated against! Back when our generation was in our teens, they did not have vaccines for the HPV virus. If a person is susceptible to this virus, it can lay dormant in the body for decades and then for some unknown factor can trigger the virus to become active and present itself in the form of cancerous tumors! Todd has started radiation and chemotherapy treatments as of January 28th this year and now on a daily basis for 7 weeks. There will be many days when Todd will not be able to work which also includes some weeks after treatments have ended for the recovery. There is going to be much hardship due to lost income, medical expenses, driving to and from treatments, along with special foods for his health during this time.
