I'm Amy Jolin, and I've known the Lippe-Stack family since I was Ryan's Cub Scout Leader from 2006-2011. Todd's wife Jen let me know that Todd has been diagnosed with Lymphoma--a piece of news that none of us ever wish to hear.
In December, the Lippe-Stack family will begin the 5 month journey of chemotherapy treatments. They face the health crisis, of course, as well as a financial crisis with Todd's lost wages as he undergoes treatment on top of the 20% of medical costs that their insurance will not cover.
I've set up this GoFundMe site to help their family pay for medical bills that are already starting to pour in from PET scans, bone marrow studies and countless other tests.
Any serious medical diagnosis is terrifying and anxiety-producing, especially a deadly one like cancer.
Of course, we won't be able to take away the fears and anxiety for Todd and Jen, but perhaps, with just a few dollars from each of us, we'll be able to ease their journey through this health crisis with just a little less financial worry.
Todd's lymphoma is horrifying. His kids are 9, 11, and 16. We hope and pray that their father will kick this cancer and live to see them grow up and get married and have kids of their own.
Please consider joining me in contributing to the medical costs that the Lippe-Stacks are facing.
