Todd Pickett Fund

Many of you know Todd Pickett who used to work in our Accounting department for many years.  This past week we received some terrible news.  For the past few weeks they have been trying to figure out whether or not he has liver cancer and to what extent.  They have been trying to get him on a list for a liver transplant if they could make sure he was cancer free or treat any cancer that he has.  On Monday they were supposed to do an official biopsy but it was cancelled.  The doctors felt that after looking at his test results that it definitely was cancer and that it had progressed to a point that there really are no options left.  They felt that if they did a biopsy it would lead to a complete shut down of his liver.  So they have gone from giving him hope that it may not be cancer to only giving him weeks to months to live.  He met with hospice yesterday and his family is coming into town today to spend some time with him.  As I have shared this information around the office the response has been incredible from the Cascade family that we have here and many wanted to do something for him and his family.  One of the thoughts that was mentioned was sending he and his family to a Diamondbacks game while he is still feeling well enough to go.  He used to take his girls to games and when I mentioned it to him he was extremely touched and grateful.  We are getting a suite for his family for this Friday’s game.  I just wanted to open this up to the group since so many have approached me and asked to be a part.  The Cascade family never ceases to amaze me.
