My name is Jordan Thaxton and I'm raising money on behalf of Todd Phillips for a liver transplant. Todd is a husband, brother, mentor and a dear friend to many. Todd has spent his entire life helping others and bringing smiles to the faces of those around him. Those who've had the good fortune to meet Todd know what a kind and loyal friend he is. Now, Todd needs our help.
Todd has been diagnosed with liver disease and requires a liver transplant in order to survive. This disease has left Todd hospitalized several times in the past couple of years. Recently, Todd's health has taken a turn for the worse and his rapidly climbing MELD score has placed him on the liver transplant list.
Doctors are optimistic that a match for Todd will become available soon, but unfortunately, that won't be the end of Todd's battle. Despite having medical insurance, he and his wife are expecting to pay more than $30,000 out of pocket towards the transplant surgery - and that doesn't include the cost of his hospital stay, medications or other health needs during this process. This in conjunction with a reduced income during the surgery will be an impossible obstacle to overcome without the financial assistance of friends and family.
Despite his health, Todd tries to live as close to normal as possible. There's no way to tell how long he will have to wait for his new liver, but he's determined to make the most of this waiting period.
So, what can we do to help?
