In June 2022, I was diagnosed with Stage 3 advanced Prostate Cancer. Throughout the summer I received medical therapy before having surgery in September. After surgery, I continued medical therapies and started to plan for radiation treatments. Due to the surgery and ongoing medical issues, I had to be away from work for quite a while. After treatments and recovery time, I was able to get back to working days that didn't involve medical appointments. Through PET scans and MRIs, it was discovered that the cancer had spread more than radiation can take care of. Since the cancer spread, I now have Stage 4 Prostate Cancer. A new treatment plan will be decided February 6th. This new development now means that this will be a long term medical journey.
