Todd Garlock Recovery Fund

What Caused this fundraiser to happen?
Todd Garlock was diagnosed in May, 2018 with Aggressive NK Cell Leukemia. It is the most aggressive and rare cancer you can get. He is the 201st person to be diagnosed with it in the world. The average life span of anyone with it is 54 days. He has had it for over  150 days. They figured he was about 7 weeks into the disease when they identified it. No one has lived more than 8 weeks without treatment. Even with treatment the prognosis is not good. But Todd says he will beat this cancer. His positive attitude is amazing. The chemo regiment for this cancer is very tough.

He is a beloved community member who has a heart of gold. He is involved in so many community projects. His personality and love of life is infectious. If you can help in any way, we will appreciate it so much. Todd is so well loved in Findlay that our Mayor declared May 20, 2018 as “Todd Garlock Road to Recovery Day.” The following are the truest of statements about our friend Todd:

For what will the funds be used?
As you can imagine, fighting cancer is an expensive journey.  Some medicines and procedures are not covered by insurance.  Todd has had numerous trips to the emergency room via life flight. He is in a fight for his life and expenses are rising.  Funds raised here will be used to assist with medical and family expenses incurred fighting this terrible disease.

Todd's Philosophy on fighting Cancer
Todd told the doctors that he is not giving up. He told them that "in my MOVIE I am restored to full health and that he believes in miracles...that it will turn out the way it is supposed to “He looked at his brother Dave and said "Don't be sad." Then he looked at Pat and said "Don't be sad....I am not scared. I am not giving up." So to all of you...Don't be sad! Be positive and envision Todd's MOVIE of restored health. Pat is asking that you pray like never before!!! Out loud, in silence, as you drive to work, as you walk in the woods...and if you have never prayed in your life...take a moment and ask God to restore his health. Call your prayer warriors and prayer chains. You are all part of the technical crew of Todd's MOVIE. It is time for that miracle.
