Dear Neighbors and Friends,
Todd Fest is a neighborhood 4th of July event for families, friends, and neighbors of Todd Place in Eckington, Washington, DC. This event has been going on for over 20 years. It has brought the community closer together, enabling new and lasting friendships. Todd Fest started in the alley and eventually moved to the street on Todd Place as the event grew with more community members. Mr. Aaron Jones, the Mayor of Todd Place, and his wife, Mrs. Jackie Jones, took the initiative to bring the event to the front and invited neighbors to grill food and get to know each other. It has helped bring our community closer together. We love the beautiful experiences of getting to know each other and having a blast during the 4th of July.
In order to keep this tradition going, the community needs to contribute financially to help pay for live music or a DJ, activities such as a dunk tank, bounce house, popcorn and cotton candy machines, face painting, interactive games, and the Todd Fest Fireworks display. For total transparency, your money goes toward down payments on significant items like the cost of the band, rentals, and fireworks. Volunteers in the Todd Place community organize Todd Fest without receiving any financial compensation. All your contributions are truly appreciated. If you have any questions, please contact the ToddFest email.
