My name is Kevin Bradshaw and I am a very close friends to Todd Bowman & Charolette Lawrence. We all met at work and became fast friends, so much so, they decided to name one of their twin boys after my last name Bradshaw.

The Bowman/Lawrence family needs our support more than ever!

On Friday September 4th 2026, Scott (one of the 8 years old twins) suffered a stroke / brain bleed. After being rushed to the hospital in Orillia it was quickly determined he had to be sent to Sick Kids in Toronto.

A stroke like this, in a young child, is rare! Scott has now undergone surgery to lessen the pressure around the affected area of the brain. The surgery has reduced the swelling but it is too early to know the outcome. Scott will have a long road of recovery ahead, but the family is trying to stay positive. Charolette is currently in Toronto at Scott's bedside.

Todd's health started to fail him in 2021. Todd had bypass heart surgery in 2025 and is currently fighting Leukemia for the second time. This means Todd is unable to work to support this family, causing additional stress.

To make things worse, in October 2024, their family farmhouse blew up. Thankfully the family was away from home when it happened but they lost everything! The only thing to survive the explosion was the cattle and barn.

This Go Fund Me is to help Todd & Charolette with expenses for travel and staying in Toronto to be with Scott. It will also help with other family expenses while Todd and Charolette are unable to work. Todd is actively in cancer treatments and no mother should have to decide between caring for her sick child and working. Scott also has a twin brother, who is autistic, Bradshaw and his two old brothers are having difficulty understanding what has happened to their brother.

This family has faced more adversity in a short period of time than most families face their entire lives. For over 5 years Todd and Charolette have been fighting to put their lives back together and stay strong for the 4 boys, in the hopes of rebuilding the family home in the near future. However now all that is on hold, with all their energy focusing on Scott and his recovery!
