Hi, im Jess. I worked as a high school teacher in NJ for almost a decade and lived a very active life that i loved. Suddenly however, i started losing vision in my right eye. I was eventually sent to the ER where I was diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. A neurologist met with me and informed me that my brain was in pretty bad condition, especially for someone of my relatively young age.
After my diagnosis my life completely changed. The original medication i was put on ravaged my organs and aided in the progression of my disease. I am now legally blind, and am in pain everyday. There are days in which i am completely bedridden and cant even get up to use the restroom without assistance.
My daily life is one i never saw for myself nor is it one I'd wish on even the most evil of people.
I am currently fighting to find medication, physical therapy, and a new way of life. I want to be able to live again.
