Hello. My name is Brenda and I am fundraising for my dear friend, Alex.

I'm looking for some humanity and starting a Go Fund Me was the best thing I could think of because this is such a desperate situation.

Alex has been a dear friend since the eighties as we knew each other from the early punk scene in Hollywood. He is a good person and has a generous spirit.

“All that landlord was waiting for was my mother to die so he could get the apartment for his greed. They put up security cameras just to watch my mother, they hired a private detective to try to get information from my mother with the hopes that she would incriminate herself.”

“When my mother was in the nursing home recovering from a broken femur the landlord went there and took pictures of her while she was asleep and tried to use them in court saying she was hooked up to tubes and she was dying. There is so much more but I won't get into it. It's not just his greed but it is personal for him.”

“Where is the compassion?

They knew my mom suffered from mental illness so they were trying so hard to take advantage of that. I did so much for her so she could stay at her apartment that she loved so much, that's all she wanted, that's why I took care of her at the apartment so she could be at home and not be in a miserable nursing home.”

“I'm still processing my mother's passing, and what also makes it more difficult is that landlord is kicking me out of my apartment because of her passing, 47 years we had this apartment for.”

THIS IS NOW A DIRE EMERGENCY ‼️ Alex notified me today with very bad news….

“I thought I'd share with you that the sheriff showed up today and locked me out of the apartment, now it's official, I'm now homeless. My attorney was supposed to let me know ahead of time so I would know when they were going to show up so I could have been a little more prepared,

but she didn't.”
