Tobyn Tough

As most of you already know Tobyn has Spina Bifida. She was diagnosed at 20 weeks gestation and had fetal surgery at 23 weeks to close the opening in her back. We spent 63 days at CHOP in Philadelphia due to her being born 10 weeks early. We have been since continuously batteling medical bills from this stay as well as continuous bills to come. She recently had to get AFOS braces for her legs to help her walk. She is 21 months and still not walking YET! I say yet because we have faith she will be walking very soon. Our insurance does not cover the full cost of her braces and we were denied Childrens with disability medical insurance because they said she was not severe enough, I know we are still batteling this one! We are wanting to take Tobyn to a therapist in New York City next month that does intense therapy for two 45 minute sessions a day for up to 3 weeks. In order to do this we need to pay out of pocket as well as pay for a place to stay. We have heard very high success with this from the Spina Bifida community as much as them walking on their own when completing the therapy. We are asking for some assistance with this and helping to assist our beautiful miracle child to be able to do what others her age can. Any and all help is greatly appreciated!!
