Hi everyone,
My name is Jess, and I’m raising funds for someone incredibly important to me, and a lot of us; Toby.
Fourteen years ago, Toby moved to Australia from the UK with a backpack, a dream, and a hostel name scribbled on a piece of paper from Sydney Airport. Since then, he’s built a beautiful life here. Through music, friendships, hard work, and genuine connection.
If you know Toby, you know how much he gives to others. He’s one of the most generous, kind, and open-hearted people I’ve ever known.
On Sunday, 29th March, Toby received a call telling him not to come home. The property he was living beneath was on fire. The damage was catastrophic. While thankfully he is safe, he has lost nearly everything.
What remains are the clothes he was wearing and his car. Everything else—his home, clothing, personal belongings, travel keepsakes, and even his five guitars and musical equipment was lost in the fire.
Unfortunately, the property was not insured.
Toby is now faced with the overwhelming task of rebuilding his life from scratch.
I’m asking for any support you may be able to give; big or small to help him get back on his feet. This will go toward essentials like clothing, toiletries, and everyday basics, as well as hopefully helping him replace some of his music equipment so he can continue doing what he loves most.
While nothing can replace what was lost, your support will make a real difference in helping him move forward.
