Our beautiful son, Toby, was tragically taken from us in a motorcycle crash.
He was just 24 years old.
There are no words for what that does to a family.
No way to make sense of a future that simply… stopped.
Toby had always been drawn to the stars.
Even when he was younger, he would look up at the night sky and say, “One day I’ll go up into space.”
It wasn’t a passing comment — it was something he believed. Something he carried with him.
He lived his life with that same sense of freedom.
He was full of energy, full of love, and always searching for something bigger — something beyond the ordinary.
Now we are left trying to honour a life that ended far too soon.
We want to send a small portion of Toby’s ashes into space — to give him the journey he once spoke about, the one he never got the chance to take. The thought of him finally reaching the stars he loved brings us a small piece of comfort in a world that feels unbearably empty without him.
The cost of a memorial spaceflight is around £10,000, covering the launch, capsule, and arrangements.
We know this is a big ask. But if you can donate, or even just share Toby’s story, you are helping us do something deeply meaningful for our son.
He said one day he would go into space.
We just never imagined we would be sending him there like this.
Thank you for helping us keep his words alive.
With love,
Claire (Mum), Craig (Dad), Debbie (Step Mum), James (Brother) Callum and Kyle (Step Brothers).
