Hi friends! I'm Emily. The creator & founder of Seacoast Stilettos LLC . My mission for years has been to help people reclaim their power through movement and community. My classes started years ago with only a few sign ups per class. Now we have a waitlist every night and a full staff of talented instructors. We are growing, and the time has come to build a home base!
Through the pandemic, people have been craving connection and a reason to get out and dance! I am so grateful to the studios that have housed us and helped us continue to do this work. When I started Seacoast Stilettos, I wanted to create a class that empowered people from all walks of life. A zero judgement zone where, regardless of your background, age, race, how you identified, what you look like, or how much experience you have - you are celebrated the moment you walk onto the dance floor.
Our momentum is tremendous! The word is getting out. I have watched our following grow - and I am ready to do more. The time with my current lease is running out. We have been able to do so much with one class a day - but imagine 2-4 classes a day? It's time for us to build a home!
My goal is to raise 150k for a build out. I am on the hunt for a warehouse space that is big enough for a beautiful open dance studio, a check in area to properly welcome in everyone who is new to the space, a spacious dressing/locker room that gets students excited about getting ready for class, bathrooms, an office and small studio for local businesses and artists to rent out. A dream space for everything that we do, and everything that we could do - all in one. The biggest costs will be floors and mirrors, the build out, and insurance just to name a few.
This has been a dream of mine for years. Teaching body love and empowerment through movement is undoubtedly what I am supposed to do in this life. I have "pinch me" moments everyday because I get to witness the power of these classes. What started out as me, teaching a heels dance class has now become a full blown Movement. There are breakthroughs, there is healing - I witness humans of all kinds reclaiming their power in these classes.
The community is like no other. We have held each other through this pandemic. Without your support, we wouldn't be where we are today; ready for a space and to plant our roots. Thank you for helping me achieve a lifelong dream. Thank you for contributing to this cause that helps so many. Thank you for helping us reach our goal! I am so deeply grateful for each one of you.
