Dear Friends, Family, and Kind Strangers,

Alix and I are reaching out with heavy hearts to ask for your support in helping our 3.5-year-old Great Dane, Tobias. Tobias is not just a pet; he is a cherished member of our family who brings us joy, comfort, and unconditional love every day.

Recently, Tobias experienced a terrifying medical emergency where he threw up blood, and lost consciousness leaving us scared and desperate to get him the help he needs. After rushing him to the vet, we were told that he requires immediate and intensive treatment to diagnose and address the underlying cause of his symptoms. He is currently being seen by specialists and is staying in an ICU in the GTA. Unfortunately, the costs of his treatment and ongoing care are far beyond what we can manage on our own.

We are doing everything we can to make sure Tobias gets the best possible care, but we need your help to cover the mounting veterinary bills. Tobias is a fighter, and we know he has so much more love to give and life to live. Your donation, no matter the size, will go directly towards his medical expenses, including diagnostic tests, treatments, medications, and follow-up care.

** Tobias update **

He had a good night in the ICU, cardiologist did their tests and said his heart is in okay condition- he has a sinus arrhythmia but the cardiologist said it’s pretty normal and that we obviously have a very stressed and anxious dog in general. His heart rate is still quite high and they are concerned about that but are continuing to monitor him. As for his stomach it is still inconclusive but no more bleeding and they had him try eating a bit of food to see if he can keep it down. So far he has been able to keep the food down but a bit of drooling afterwards that they are monitoring as well. He is staying in the ICU again tonight and if all goes well, he may be able to come home tomorrow morning but if he vomits or there are other concerns, he will likely need a CT scan or an endoscopy! Fingers crossed all goes well and he can come home in the morning! Please keep Tobias in your thoughts, and if you’re able, share our story to help us cover the costs of his care.
