Hi I am a volunteer feral cat carer in Stalybridge. I have many cats in my care; feral, semi feral, behavioural issues.

These are the cats the rescues would not take as they were deemed “ unadoptable”.

Bear a senior all black cat, trapped from the old Ashton colony on a church who’s had toes removed due to severe infection and injury on the streets. Rescues refused to take him on.

He now needs a dental, with the animal Trust it’s approximately £450.

Oscar ( Tobias’ son) is getting on for 11. He’s a very nervous boy considered semi feral. He’s got “ pillow paw” and as he’s so anxious and near impossible to treat, he needs sedating and vet trip plus liquid doxycycline which is very expensive.

Jasmine our little senior rescue sweetheart has CKD ( chronic kidney disease). As many of you know this is a horrible progression and we’re treating Jasmine with the best care to make her comfortable. She’s been on intravenous fluids already, which has helped massively. She’s also on renal food, phosphorus binders and various other broths and appetite stimulants.

I am the sole carer for all these cats, and through extremely difficult and challenging times I am reluctant to ask for help. But I can’t do the impossible. The colony cats are relying on me also and it’s a lot for one person.
