Tobias Able McBrayer Medical Expenses

Tobias is the grandson of IUPAT Local 1293 member and president James Speegle. On January 7th, he went unresponsive and had to be rushed to the local ER. He was subsequently transferred to UAB. He was diagnosed with seizures and sent home to follow up with the neurologist. He had an MRI where he was diagnosed with Sturge-Weber disease type three, which is all neurological symptoms. He has focal epilepsy, second to this rare disorder that affects his brain. He is going back and

forth to UAB several times a month ( 6 appointments this month). He will have to travel to Baltimore the end of the month to discuss options. The expense of traveling and missing a lot of work due to appointments and seizures has placed a heavy financial burden on the parents. The mom is an RN and the dad is a police officer and they have both missed lots of work.
