In Loving Memory of Greg Miller (NFSDemon9)
It is with profound sadness that we announce the untimely passing of our beloved friend, Greg Miller, known to many in the online gaming community as NFSDemon9. Greg, a cherished son, brother, and husband, left us at the tender age of 29, leaving an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew him.
Greg's passion for racing wasn't just a hobby; it was a way of life that connected him with a community where friendships thrived. “NFSDemon9” was more than a screen name; it was a symbol of his dedication, skill, and the camaraderie he shared with fellow racers. Not only was he an avid gamer, but his adoration for sports was palpable, with the Michigan Wolverines being his biggest love of them all when it comes to sports.
Beyond the tracks and the gridiron, Greg was an incredible son, bringing joy to his family with his infectious laughter and unwavering love. As a brother, he was a steadfast companion, and as a husband, he epitomized devotion and support. His memory will forever be etched in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to call him family and friend.
Greg was born January 14, 1994, in Saginaw, Michigan to Rod and Carol (Woodward) Miller. He graduated from Birch Run High School with the class of 2013. Greg married the love of his life, Kaitlyn Miller, on November 14, 2018, in Frankenmuth. Together they created many wonderful memories and shared countless laughs that will be cherished forever.
For six years, Greg worked diligently as an Assistant Supervisor at Hemlock Semiconductor, leaving a lasting impact on his colleagues. Prior to that, he was a cashier at Meijer in Birch Run where he brightened the days of countless customers with his friendly demeanor.
Greg enjoyed the simple pleasures of life through his many passions, whether it was casting his fishing line, hunting, listening to country music, or reading. As an avid reader, Greg’s love for literature knew no bounds. He enjoyed reading about history - especially the Titanic and anything to do with space exploration, but none could match his love of fantasy novels, immersing himself in the wizarding world of Harry Potter and the fascinating tales of Greek mythology, including his favorite, Percy Jackson.
Greg had a true passion for gaming, racing, and NASCAR, which connected him with an entire community that thrived with friendships. “NFSDemon9” was more than a screen name; it was a symbol of his dedication, skill, and the camaraderie he shared with fellow racers. As an avid University of Michigan fan, he cheered on the Wolverines with unmatched enthusiasm.
But perhaps Greg’s most unforgettable qualities were his genuine kindness, outgoing personality, quick wit, mischievous pranks, and jokes (often laced with a dark sense of humor). He could always lighten the mood and bring laughter and joy to those around him.
Greg was a friend to all and took great pleasure in being a reliable and supportive presence in the lives of his friends and family, always there to offer a helping hand or listening ear.
