To support the family of our dear brother Houari

We are heartbroken by the tragic passing of our beloved brother Houari yesterday April 2nd, 2025. Indeed, we belong to Allah and indeed, to Him we will return. May Allah (SWT) have mercy on our brother, forgive him, and grant him a place in the highest paradise with the Prophets, the truthful, the martyrs, and the righteous.

He left behind his wife and 3 children (One daughter 20 & two sons aged 15 and 7). We want to make sure that they are taking care of during this difficult time.

Br. Houari was a long time resident of Richmond and very active member and a fixture of the Richmond Masjid, in fact, he served as treasurer of the BCMA Richmond Branch for many years.

He passed away while visiting his parents in Algeria. He will be deeply missed!

Even though he left a will, I still request anyone who may have owed money to them to come forward so that we free him from any debts.

I, Zoheir Tahar, am facilitating and administering this page. The last picture I took with him is posted on this page. The money collected through this platform will be handled by Br. Djamel whose wife is the sister of Br. Houari. We are starting with a target of $25K but I hope we can move the target later surpass that however we can inshaAllah.
