PJ, our incredible Recruitment Manager, has spent the last four years caring for her mother as she fights Acute Myeloid Leukemia and Osteoarthritis. For the past year, she has worked from her mother’s hospital bedside — doing her job with grace, strength, and unwavering dedication, going above and beyond day after day to ensure business needs are met and exceeded.
Last week, her mother needed emergency life-saving surgery. The family has been battling the rising medical costs for years, given all medical insurance coverage cannot be renewed once you receive a critical illness diagnosis in the Philippines. The family have been doing all they can to stay afloat, but they have now reached breaking point. Their final resort is to begin selling their personal assets, which is underway.
PJ never asks for help, nor did she on this occasion. She is the person who shows up, who gives, who carries the load for everyone else. She did not offer this information; in fact, I had to drag it from her.
I am hoping we can offer some support to help relieve the immediate pressure on PJ and her family and to ensure her mother continues to receive the care she needs.
Any support you can offer is greatly appreciated but not expected. There is no obligation, and I am not sending this widely as PJ is private and proud. However, unfortunately given the severity of the situation she has agreed to allow me to attempt to support.
Every little helps and thank you so much for considering this ask. Any funds collected will go directly to the payment of outstanding medical bills with the goal of reducing the volume of assets the family need to sell to continue treatment.
Many thanks,
Roslyn on behalf of PJ & Her Family.
