Liz has been like a sister to me for nearly half my life. I could write forever about the things I have learned about myself from her and the way that she has moved through the world and all the nasty things in it. I have started this fundraiser today after her partner, and father of their son Uruz, had an unexpected heart attack and passed in his sleep. I never had the fortune to meet Adam in person, though through knowing Liz and the standards to which she holds those around her to be kind, loving, and overall good human beings, I know that he was special. Liz and Uruz, who is now three, are faced with the incredible task of figuring out what to do next. They currently reside in rural Spain, where Adam worked as an electrician and was the sole financial provider of the household. Please consider helping me help my friend. UPDATE - Liz and Uruz are planning to come back to the USA, which is going to be a bit of a task. Aside from airfare, Uruz is also going to need a passport. This is going to be a bit of a process and is not going to happen overnight. Let’s please help them make this happen as simply as possible. I’ll continue updating this to let you all know where we’re at.
