To Support Kiarah & Her Family

Hi, I’m reaching out for family/friends and community support on behalf of my sister. Her 4year old Daughter Kiarah Hayes-Ward age 4. got rushed in an ambulance on the 27th of July to Northern hospital on the day of her younger sister birthday then my sister got told her daughter had pneumonia and chest infection and fluid around her left lung then was told needed surgery at RCH Royal Children Hospital all just under two weeks ago. We are so lucky she’s here with us today because she could of dropped at home because she was only breathing with one lung at home before we took her into the Hospital, Kiarah's surgery went well. The surgery was A thoracentesis is a procedure that drains extra fluid from around the lung. A hollow needle is inserted between the ribs into the pleural cavity. The needle is used to remove the fluid. Kiarah’s Type A influenza is a contagious viral infection that can cause life-threatening complications if left untreated.

Kiarah is still in hospital slowly but surely on the mends, But it’s been a struggle for her and her parents with cost of food, petrol, laundry mat prices as well as anything that makes Kiarah more comfortable with her stay at the hospital when she eventually gets out she also has weekly checkups back here at the RCH We Are Asking For Assistance In Any Way Possible So We Can Get support Through This Difficult Time.
