A Personal Appeal – Help My Uncle Fight Cancer

My name is Omkar Mestry, and I’m reaching out with a heavy heart but also with hope — hope that together, we can help give my uncle a fighting chance against cancer.

A few weeks ago, our family was shaken to its core when my uncle was diagnosed with a serious form of cancer. It’s something no one is ever fully prepared for — emotionally or financially. He is currently undergoing urgent treatment in Thane, India, at MOC Hospital, and while we are grateful that the treatment has begun, the journey ahead is long, difficult, and costly.

The total cost of his treatment is around £20,000 (equivalent to 20 lakh INR). This includes chemotherapy, hospitalisation, medication, and critical aftercare. As a family, we’ve come together and managed to raise a portion of the amount through personal savings and support from loved ones.

But we are still short of £10,000, and this is where I need your help.
