Hi my name is Jo and I love the world of children's stories.

Having spent many joyful hours reading to my son, immersed in the enchanting world of children's literature. My dream was to write my own children's story.

The idea for this story, The Little Cumuli, came to mind one summer afternoon as my son and I lay on the grass in the garden, spotting cloud shapes. Its about three cloud children who, having been enchanted watching earth children play, wish to join them and become like them. The results are at first sad, as they fall as rain, and ruin the earth children's outdoor games, then turns to wonder as they learn their great purpose as they nourish the earth and all its inhabitants. There's fun, playfulness, morals, education, and the water cycle woven into the story.

I have been blessed with a wonderful childhood which shares some of the adventures of the children in the book. It will be a huge thrill to present my dear Mum, aged 98 years with a copy and to dedicate it to her and my late dad who gave me such a joyful childhood.

I'm delighted that this picture book story will be beautifully illustrated by Jacqueline Tee. Jacqueline works as a freelance children’s book illustrator with a lifelong love of drawing and painting and telling stories. Having previously held an editorial career in publishing, she finally followed her heart and found her illustrator wings. She has since spent many happy years working on lots of author’s stories, bringing to life their imaginings. With particular success in portraying animal and bird characters and capturing the whimsical and quirky.

I see the story being at home with a 5-8 year old audience, or if like me, you have an eternal child within, it is suitable for any age!

I feel this is just the beginning and have so many ideas for future stories.
