To see my beautiful kids grow up

Donation protected
Hello and thanks for taking out the time to read my friend's story.

This story is about a special person I've met at work 7 years ago.
Majhi Marie Villahermosa came to America from the Philippines to support her family of 4. At the time, she had just given birth to her daughter and left the family in pursuit of a better future for her kids.
Imagine just giving birth and not too long after that, crossing 8,500 miles to come to NYC to support her family.

Throughout my years, I have not met a single person stronger in will and committed to their family than Marie. Ever since I've known her, she has been working 7 days a week and hardly takes any vacation or personal days to herself so her kids can have the same opportunity as everyone else.
Marie is a physical therapist that helped many many people over the course of her career. As cliche as it may sound, she always puts her patients need before hers. Her life speaks for itself...

The reason why I'm here in support of my dearest loving friend Majhi Marie Villahermosa is that she has been recently diagnosed with MALT Lymphoma, which is a rare type of lymphoma.

Marie went for an annual checkup at her Ob/Gynecologist in Sept 2020 and received the news of her illness. The news was shocking, it caused her to faint and devastated her mental wellness.

Her life has been anything but loving her family from thousands of miles away and working endlessly and sacrificing herself so that a daughter and two sons may have a bright future.
Her lymphoma has not stopped her from working because she is the primary financial provider for her family. I've urged her to take a break and take care of her illness but being a mother myself, I can understand her feeling and decision.

Unfortunately, She does not have any health insurance, she was not able to get proper treatment until now. She is at a dead end and it breaks my heart that the light of hope is very very dim for her.
This year has been very difficult for everybody but if we can give part of our hope to her cause, she may be able to see the light at the end of the tunnel. Any amount of donation will provide Majhi Marie Villahermosa with the chance to live longer and see her kids grow up. If donations are not possible, any prayer for her well being will be greatly appreciated.

I am so lucky to have Marie as my friend and I would love to continuously see her smile. She doesn't have any family here in the states and due to Covid, she currently cannot travel to see her family. The only glimmer of hope we can give her is a fair chance to fight this illness with the proper treatment.
From the bottom of my heart, I thank you all. Please stay safe and God bless.
