Help Me Save Johnny

I never thought I would be asking for help like this, but I am doing everything I can to save Johnny.

I have had Johnny on and off since he was just 4–6 weeks old. In his short life, he has already had seven homes—not because of anything he has done wrong, but because of the circumstances around homing him and his sister. He has experienced more instability, abandonment, and disruption than any dog should ever have to endure.

Despite everything, Johnny is not aggressive. He is loving, sensitive, and deeply anxious because of everything he has been through. More than anything, he needs consistency, safety, and unconditional love.

Six weeks ago, Johnny was shot by a farmer after killing chickens. Thankfully, he survived, but it was a traumatic event and a stark reminder of how vulnerable he is.

Right now, I am facing a difficult housing situation. The owner of my property only allows one dog and does not allow dogs upstairs, where I currently live. She has agreed to let me move downstairs so I can keep Johnny, but there are conditions: I need to complete several repairs and updates to make the downstairs apartment livable and acceptable.

This includes:

* Replacing my bathroom sink

* Replacing my stained kitchen sink

* Painting the entire apartment (I have lived here for two years and it now needs repainting)

* General repairs and preparation for the move

I am asking for help covering these costs so I can move downstairs and keep Johnny safe with me.

This is about far more than moving house. This is about giving Johnny stability and preventing yet another traumatic separation.

The alternatives are heartbreaking. Shelters are not taking dogs, and placing Johnny into foster care would likely worsen his anxiety and abandonment issues. He has already been passed from home to home. He deserves better.

I could choose to do nothing and simply stay where I am, but I am choosing to fight for Johnny because he matters. He deserves a chance at a stable, loving future.

I love this dog more than words can express. He has been through so much, and he deserves a real chance.
