Help the People of Sumatra Rebuild After Devastating Floods.

Sumatra Island is belong to Republic of Indonesia. Sumatra island in Indonesia is one of the largest and most vital islands in the world, has suffered deeply in recent years. Vast areas of pristine rainforest have been cleared, sometimes legally, sometimes illegally to make room for palm oil plantations or to extract valuable resources from the land. These brutal deforestations have severely damaged the environment and contributed to catastrophic floods that have taken countless lives, displaced communities, and destroyed entire ecosystems.

Hello, my name is Lena Sinaga.

I was born in Pematang Siantar, a small city near Medan, the capital of North Sumatra. In my early age I and my family moved to Jakarta, the capital Republic of Indonesia and grew up in Jakarta before I moved to the Netherlands in the 90's where I now live and work.

My heart breaks to see the island I love so much suffering from such overwhelming devastation. So many people have lost their lives, their homes, their families, and their livelihoods. Thousands are still missing. And we cannot forget the animals, how many of them could possibly survive such destruction?

I feel compelled to act. I want to help the victims, the communities, and the island itself. This crowdfunding campaign is my way of doing something meaningful, and I hope you will join me.

My purpose:

1. I want to raise money first of all to donate to people who hardly need at the moment. I have contact with some people in the areas.

2. I also would like to donate the money to some organisations who involve rebuilding the forrest for example by planting the trees. More information about this, you can send me a message.

3. Not to forget to donate the orang utan sanctuary project and other animals sanctuary. As you know the orang utan, the Sumatran's tiger and the Sumatran's olifants are protected. They are critically endangered. Their homes are destroyed, These animal are just few left in the wild of Sumatra.
