My name is Christiana, I am the manager of three farmers markets in the Coachella Valley. Our vendors are a traveling family and we take care of our tribe. Our beloved Tie dye Momma, Danuta McCarthy, who owns Dyes in Motion, was on a yearly musical tour during the month of March selling her Tie dye’s in a series of concerts. Upon returning from her cross country trip which didn’t go well to begin with, She came home to find her house had been ransacked and everything stolen including all of her Farmers Market gear, all her Tie dye’s, all of her personal documents, passport, cash saved for medical procedure, everything down to her soaps and shoes were taken. Not only does this feel like such a personal violation and betrayal but now she doesn’t feel safe in her own home. She is devastated and I am devastated right along with her. The only thing I can do to make her life better is to raise money to help her replaced the stolen items, maybe help her move to a different rental. We are a very close nit community as we travel from market to market three times a week, we truly love each other like family, and we lift each other up when we fall. Please join me and our market family to help Danuta get back on her feet and feel whole again.
