Peace, everyone. My name is KHALIYL, though many people know me as MC Mell’O’. I’m sharing my story with you today and humbly asking for your support as I seek the private surgery I desperately need.

I am reaching out with hope in my heart and a humble request for help.

For over 18 years, I have lived with chronic hiccups associated with my condition, Type III achalasia. What may seem like a minor inconvenience to others has become an ongoing challenge in my life. Living with persistent hiccups, alongside the difficulties associated with this condition, has taken its toll on my everyday life.

The effects reach beyond the hiccups themselves. Eating and drinking, getting proper rest, managing discomfort and simply trying to go about daily life can become difficult when a health condition is constantly affecting you. The physical and emotional strain of dealing with this for so many years is difficult to put into words.

I long for the chance to live more comfortably, to enjoy the ordinary things in life without this condition having such an impact, and to look towards the future with renewed hope.

Why I need your help

I am now trying to raise the funds needed to undergo private surgery to treat my condition.

Although private treatment is available, the cost is more than I can afford on my own. After living with this condition for so many years, I want to pursue the treatment available to me, but I cannot take this step without financial assistance.

I am therefore setting a fundraising target of over £20,000 to help cover the cost of the operation and associated medical expenses. The final amount needed will depend on the treatment plan and the costs confirmed by my medical team.

I understand that surgery cannot come with a guarantee of a cure. However, I am hopeful that receiving the appropriate specialist treatment will give me a better opportunity to improve my condition and quality of life.
