To provide a sanitarium style care home for my mum.

Hello everyone, my name is Rose and this is very new to me, to ask anything of anyone, but the idea of appealing to the public has come about from my
mother having had a stroke and is now in a care home so deteriorated in health and strength she has been put in end of life care, (therefore this plea is quite urgent,) against my desires, my siblings agreed to this and I strongly appose them, I want life for my mum, she has not given up on life but they have given up on her. It's been since January that she had a stroke and it's been so hard to watch her get more frail each day. Let me paint you a picture of what I see when I visit my mum, the care home she is in and all care homes I've ever been in, (forgive me if you know of care homes that are different) they seem to me to just be set up to allow the person to exist without helping to improve them or rehabilitate them, please forgive my opinion but it's just how I feel and what I've personally had experience of. They seem to be existing to just die without any hope of them actually getting out or better. They sit around all day with no mobility movements, or massage therapy, but just to be hoisted out of the chair briefly and put right back into the chair, watch all sorts on TV, most times inappropriate for their mental health, (it is a dementia care home and there has been items on the TV where there is swearing and shouting and arguing, not a conducive thing for them to be watching or hearing and often times they shout and swear at each other) or listen to 60's music and eat food that is not truly nutritious with rich desserts, which are aimed at putting weight on them as they are frail, but the foods are full of saturated fats or not combined well, not fresh fruit or fresh juices are given but tea coffee and biscuits throughout the day. I find this horrendous and baffling, my mum had a stroke therefore her diet should be fresh fruit and vegetables etc. But from the hospital to the care home, she has been offered nothing but saturated fatty foods in the hope of putting weight on her. I believe and know that weight can be put on using healthier foods. My siblings think it's in her best interest to put her into palliative care if you know what this is. I see my mum has life and wants to live, she just needs extra care, nurturing and massage and mobilisation and granting her the actual things she wants, such as a bath, to be assisted to use the toilet whether a bed pan or commode for those who cannot take themselves to the toilet, she wants her familiar west Indian foods, surely that's not asking much? But she's not had those things since December 14th 2024 to the present day. She's said time and again can I go home with you? I desperately want this but I live in a flat which has 2 sets of stairs inside and houses my family consisting of 4 including me, so this is not going to be possible or conducive to her health. My hearts desire is to get a home for her, in the country and I would take on her full time care using natural remedies only. The reason she was put in palliative care was because she was not taking her medication or eating and drinking in the care homes opinion, but when I visit, for the time I'm there she does eat and drink, not large amounts but she takes it, showing that she wants to live.
My whole idea of using go fund me is for my mum, and others like her, to be cared for without the constraints of a care home, telling you their rules, such as; you can't bring your own food in for the patients, or you can't give your relative even a seat cushion designed to pad out the bottom area because it's hurting them to be sat down in the chair, they won't allow this due to regulations, which make no sense to me. I was shocked that I had no say in hardly anything that I could do to help make my mums life more bearable in a place she didn't want to be in, due to her own children making decisions not in her best interests and the legal red tape around things that can be done in a care home. I cannot make my lone voice heard as I don't have any say, I don't have the power of attorney for my mum, my siblings do and I feel they do not have her best interests at heart, by putting her on end of life care, with what is called a syringe driver administering a particular drug into her system designed in told to keep her calm and comfortable. I just need the means to get my mum out to safety in a place I can care for her and she can live. ★ The funds will be used to purchase a large home in a countryside setting and call it: Abundant Life Springs and turn it into a sanitarium style care facility, that is why I have asked for such a large amount. I don't just have the vision for my mum, but for other patients and their relatives who are tired of the age old pattern of a care home, but to view it as a place to learn how to care for a sick relative with the aim of improving their health to a good level of independence. The establishment would be to also educate the carer. If somewhere could be found big enough, relatives could stay over with the patient. Initially I would want to start off with my mum, working with her to create a pattern to follow. It could then be rolled out for at least 4 patients increasing to 7 eventually, who can reside as residents to be rehabilitated and be given 1 to 1 care, I would ask for what are called medical missionaries and professionals to assist in the care work, who have natural health knowledge using natural remedies and experience of caring for the sick, it will be hard work but I know it will be rewarding.
The main objective is to mobilise them and get them as active as possible, using fresh foods grown on the premises that will be combined carefully for their particular needs, not as in care homes where everyone literally is on the same diet and menu, the diet must be tailored for the illness they have. They are to be massaged for circulation in their bodies, for old age and dementia, exercises based on neuroplasticity (building new pathways in the brain and encouraging the growth of new brain cells) are to be carried out with them as much as possible throughout the day, I will organise the massage and exercise to be given (I am a trained personal trainer with GP referral and I am studying massage, having passed some courses already) and given exercise whether they do it themselves or someone moves their limbs for them to enable the joints to keep lubricated and they progress in health. I have given my mum massage as best as I can from her time in hospital to the care home and my mum loves to be massaged on her bad side from the stroke, as pain is often the aftermath of a stroke on the affected side. I do her arm and leg and she always says the pain is better and looks forward to it sometimes asking me to do it, this is a lady deemed as having dementia and she has not forgotten that I massage her on a daily basis!
Paramount should be their nutrition, which should be tailored to their illness, the home should have garden space to grow the fresh food to feed the residents. They should be put in the fresh air as much as possible and given natural remedies, not pharmaceutical drugs. They should be in a natural setting every day, wheeled out so they are not in a room all day.
Because mum bought me up in the faith of Christ, it will be a place built on the principles of God and be faith based. In the morning there would be prayers said for the residents and the reading of the psalms, which give hope and motivation for life. For those of no faith, positive words would be said to them, encouraging good thoughts and peacefulness. If they watch anything on a screen it should be wholesome though weather permitting through the seasons they are to be out in nature. They would be bathed as they prefer, as much as possible water therapies will be used which are extremely beneficial. My mum always wanted a bath and for over 4 months, she asked but was never given it until she gave up asking (though of course she is washed in other ways). In the sanitarium style care home whatever is asked within reason regarding bathing and personal care it should be given to the patient, my mum cares so much about her hygiene, that is why I'm stressing this, she had been herself greatly stressed at the bathing and toileting situation that I feel it has contributed to her unhappiness and deterioration because no one will give her what she asks. All the 8 principles will be used in the care of the patients to be rehabilitated, to the point they could even be taken home by their relatives, that would be my greatest hope and just that the days that they have be filled with happiness and health. This is the vision I have and ask for your kindness in seeing it come to fruition.
Thank you for reading this far. Please give as little or as much as you are able, you will be richly blessed. This is my prayer for you.
