My parents left the U.S. to retire to their native country, Nicaragua, 7 years ago. In those 7 years, I have only seen them twice.

In Nicaragua, you pay with American dollars if you want to be seen by a doctor, buy medicine, etc..

My mother has underlying health conditions including mental illnesses and my father did as well.

On 9/21/21, my father passed away from Covid. At the same time, my mother was battling Covid as well.

Unfortunately because of Covid, I was not able to fly to Nicaragua and bury my father. My mother is healing slowly but Covid left her with additional health issues that we now have to face and treat. The medicine, the treatment, nurses and in house 24/7 assistance are expensive and it needs to be paid in American dollars.

It is embarrassing for me to ask for help and I also know that these are difficult times for all of us.
