My name is Tetiana Semenova. I am temporarily staying in Scotland under the Ukrainian scheme together with my 5-year-old son.

Thanks to the support of the British government, we have been able to find temporary safety here and gain a first introduction to the education system. I am deeply grateful for this opportunity.

Like many refugees, we live a very isolated life. We do not yet have friends, acquaintances, or a support network here. At the moment, I am unable to find a job, although I truly want to work and be independent.

My biggest wish is for my son to feel included, develop emotionally, and spend time with other children. Weekends are especially difficult, as we are often alone. That is why I chose a drama studio for him. It offers communication with other children, personal development, and a structured learning programme. I believe it will help him grow, gain confidence, and feel less lonely in a new country.

I am raising funds to support my son and myself during the winter period — to pay for his drama classes, help with basic living expenses, and cover household bills.

Any support, no matter how small, will make a meaningful difference for us.
